Waking This Morning
For one weekend in January, it was like spring around these parts, and I happened to be signed up to hang out at KFW’s Hopscotch House, where I discovered a poem by Muriel Rukeyser that somehow I had never read before. I decided I wanted to memorize it and what better way to start than by recording myself reading it since that is how I learn songs, by listening to recordings of them.
And now Poetry is asking us to post such a thing on SoundCloud.
